How to Remove Scratches from Furniture

My husband and I recently got some new-to-us bedroom furniture.
The stuff that we had....is the same stuff I've had since I was 15.
Yes, 15.

So, it was time for some new stuff.
I'll tell you more about the furniture we bought later, but now I want to show you how I fixed the old dresser.

Over the years, the dresser top had gotten scratched up a lot.
And, it wasn't an expensive piece to begin with, so it's seen better days.

We're having a garage sale in about 3 weeks, so I wanted to be able to sell it.

Here's what I started with:

All I used to fill the scratches was a brown Crayola marker!
Then I wiped off the excess with a towel.

I did this a couple times over each scratch until they were gone.

This greatly improved the look of this dresser!
And also improved the amount I can ask for it at the garage sale!

I'm all about quick, easy fixes like this!

Come back later on this week and next to see the new stuff we got and learn more about our garage sale!

Thanks for stopping by!
